Canadian Patriotic Moments

Patriotic Moments

There are many patriotic moments in Canadian history where Canadians have demonstrated their love for this great nation. There are many events that are very significant and even more that are less important

Canadians show their support to Canada most of the time but in times of crisis patriotism takes a rise. During both of the world wars Canadians stepped up to defend and represent their country. In both world wars Canadians fought bravely for their county and each war gave Canadians greater respect for Canada.

Every year on July first Canadians demonstrate their love for Canada on Canada's birthday, the day it became a county and the provinces were united. Every year Canadians show their patriotism on the anniversary of confederation.

In Salt Lake City 2002 Canadians showed their support as in almost all major sporting events. In return Canada won gold metals in men and women's hockey setting us up as the worlds best at our game. Canadians cheered on their countries athletes and cheered for Canada its self.
